The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will have the Tuesday August 20th (6pm) meeting/tureen picnic, combined with the Harmony Historical Society at 1943 Open Meadows Road, Ashville. Genealogical Society VP Ruth Nichols will be speaking on what she found in 5 drawers of “donated” files at the Barker museum and how she indexed them. President Gail Dash will review the research material available in the Genealogical Society Garland Room at the Barker Museum and items of interest in the Museum. Also a review of interesting historical sites in the North County area. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service. Directions: From Ashville. Take 474 west to Blockville (about 2 miles) and make a left onto the Open Meadows Road. Then about one half mile on the left you’ll see the grounds of the Harmony Historical Society.
